Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the US population with Italian ancestry was 16.51M, which was 5.01% of the total US population.

Among US states, New York had the highest number of people with Italian ancestry (2.33M), followed by Pennsylvania (1.42M), and California (1.39M).
