Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 8.59K people in New Mexico with Subsaharan African ancestry (0.41% of New Mexico population). Among all New Mexico cities and places with a population of at least 10K, North Valley CDP had the highest percentage of its population with Subsaharan African ancestry (1.85%), followed by Los Lunas village (1.50%), and Albuquerque city (0.78%).
