Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 363.49K people in New York with French (except Basque) ancestry (1.81% of New York population). Among all New York cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Massena village had the highest percentage of its population with French (except Basque) ancestry (13.89%), followed by Plattsburgh city (11.94%), and Ogdensburg city (11.24%).
