Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 2.90M people in Pennsylvania with German ancestry (22.33% of Pennsylvania population). Among all Pennsylvania cities and places with a population of at least 10K, St. Marys city had the highest percentage of its population with German ancestry (47.18%), followed by Elizabethtown borough (37.14%), and Weigelstown CDP (36.02%).
