Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, among the 1,187,930 New Jersey Black Alone population, 91.46% of them had a health insurance coverage (i.e. 1,086,471 people), and 8.54% did not have a health insurance coverage (i.e. 101,459 people).

The following age groups of the New Jersey Black Alone population had the highest percentage of their population group without a health insurance coverage: the 19 - 64 Years age group (11.43%), followed by the Under 19 Years age group (4.66%), and the 65 Years and Over age group (1.63%).
