Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, among the 1,100,910 Tennessee Black Alone population, 88.40% of them had a health insurance coverage (i.e. 973,146 people), and 11.61% did not have a health insurance coverage (i.e. 127,764 people).

The following age groups of the Tennessee Black Alone population had the highest percentage of their population group without a health insurance coverage: the 19 - 64 Years age group (16.38%), followed by the Under 19 Years age group (5.06%), and the 65 Years and Over age group (1.02%).
