Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of the Montana population without a health insurance coverage was 8.55% (i.e. 90,973 people). Percentagewise, among all Montana counties, Glacier County had the highest percentage of its population with no health insurance coverage (36.97%), followed by Roosevelt County (29.69%), and Big Horn County (26.38%).
In numerical terms, Yellowstone County had the highest number of people without a health insurance coverage (9,790), followed by Flathead County (9,334), and Gallatin County (8,658).
