Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of the Washington population without a health insurance coverage was 6.36% (i.e. 477,069 people). Percentagewise, among all Washington counties, Adams County had the highest percentage of its population with no health insurance coverage (17.16%), followed by Franklin County (14.20%), and Yakima County (13.30%).

In numerical terms, King County had the highest number of people without a health insurance coverage (119,551), followed by Pierce County (54,087), and Snohomish County (49,666).
