Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of the Wisconsin population without a health insurance coverage was 5.49% (i.e. 318,308 people). Percentagewise, among all Wisconsin counties, Menominee County had the highest percentage of its population with no health insurance coverage (24.29%), followed by Clark County (20.49%), and Vernon County (14.33%).

In numerical terms, Milwaukee County had the highest number of people without a health insurance coverage (67,404), followed by Dane County (20,729), and Brown County (14,165).
