According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2017, the birth rate for North Carolina was 11.72. Onslow County had the highest birth rate (20.27), followed by Hoke County (17.19), and Cumberland County (16.25) On the other hand, Pamlico County had the lowest birth rate (6.38), followed by Hyde County (6.56), and Watauga County (7).
