According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2015, the birth rate for the United States was 12.49. Utah had the highest birth rate (17.22), followed by Alaska (15.38), and North Dakota (15.26). On the other hand, New Hampshire had the lowest birth rate (9.26), followed by Maine (9.51), and Vermont (9.55).
Birth Rate refers to the average annual number of births during a year per 1,000 population at midyear.
