According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the number of births for Maryland was 73,558. Montgomery County had the highest number of births (13,192), followed by Prince George's County (12,137), and Baltimore County (9,951) On the other hand, Kent County had the lowest number of births (163), followed by Somerset County (244), and Garrett County (271).
