The US Census Bureau estimated that the Black or African American Alone population in Arkansas was 475,874 in 2020, and represented 15.70% of Arkansas's 3,030,522 population in 2020. Pulaski County had the highest number of the Black or African American Alone population (150,391 residents), followed by Jefferson County with 37,723 residents, and Crittenden County with 26,222 residents. Searcy County had the smallest number of the Black or African American Alone population (45 residents) in 2020.
