Louisiana Black or African American Alone Population By County in 2015

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, the Black or African American Alone population in Louisiana was 1,520,636 and represented 32.58% of the total Louisiana population (4,666,998).

Among Louisiana counties, Orleans Parish had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (235,749), followed by East Baton Rouge Parish (206,814), and Caddo Parish (123,114). Cameron Parish had the lowest (285).
