Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, the Black or African American Alone population in Washington was 357,009 and represented 4.59% of the total Washington population (7,784,477).

Among Washington counties, King County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (166,218), followed by Pierce County (75,250), and Snohomish County (35,607). Garfield County had the lowest (4).
