According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 2,638,201 people who identified as Non-Hispanic - White Alone in Iowa, which was 82.69% of the total Iowa population.

Polk County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - White Alone (362,260), followed by Linn County (187,911), and Scott County (134,578). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - White Alone were: Adams County (3,518), Ringgold County (4,447), and Taylor County (5,304).
