According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in Illinois was 1,356,415; and represented 13.57% of the total Illinois voting-age population.
Cook County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (925,463), followed by Will County (59,337), and St. Clair County (55,588). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Scott County (1), Calhoun County (7), and Stark County (8).
When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Alexander County had the highest percentage (29.71%), followed by Pulaski County (28.30%), and St. Clair County (28.21%).
