According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in South Carolina was 964,667; and represented 24.03% of the total South Carolina voting-age population.

Richland County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (143,150), followed by Charleston County (70,928), and Greenville County (65,441). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Saluda County (3,202), McCormick County (3,296), and Oconee County (4,035).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Allendale County had the highest percentage (68.33%), followed by Williamsburg County (62.02%), and Lee County (59.88%).
