According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 754,878 people in Illinois who identified their race as Asian Alone, which is 5.89% of the total population of Illinois. Cook County had the highest number of people who identify as Asian Alone (413,271), followed by DuPage County (119,672), and Lake County (59,390). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Asian Alone were: Alexander County (6), Calhoun County (7), and Scott County (11).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, DuPage County had the highest percentage, with 12.83% of its population identifying their race as Asian Alone, followed by Champaign County (11.90%), and Lake County (8.31%).
