According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 16,798 people in Maine who identified their race as Asian Alone, which is 1.23% of the total population of Maine. Cumberland County had the highest number of people who identify as Asian Alone (7,204), followed by York County (2,520), and Penobscot County (1,865). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Asian Alone were: Piscataquis County (120), Washington County (121), and Waldo County (207).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Cumberland County had the highest percentage, with 2.38% of its population identifying their race as Asian Alone, followed by Franklin County (1.31%), and Penobscot County (1.23%).
