According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 343,051 people in North Carolina who identified their race as Asian Alone, which is 3.29% of the total population of North Carolina. Wake County had the highest number of people who identify as Asian Alone (97,042), followed by Mecklenburg County (72,035), and Guilford County (28,922). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Asian Alone were: Hyde County (7), Alleghany County (15), and Graham County (22).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Wake County had the highest percentage, with 8.59% of its population identifying their race as Asian Alone, followed by Orange County (8.52%), and Mecklenburg County (6.46%).
