According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 13,213 people in North Dakota who identified their race as Asian Alone, which is 1.70% of the total population of North Dakota. Cass County had the highest number of people who identify as Asian Alone (6,068), followed by Grand Forks County (2,495), and Ward County (1,120). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Asian Alone were: Steele County (0), Slope County (0), and Logan County (0).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Grand Forks County had the highest percentage, with 3.41% of its population identifying their race as Asian Alone, followed by Cass County (3.29%), and Adams County (1.77%).
