Florida Black or African American Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 3,246,381 people in Florida who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 15.07% of the total population of Florida. Broward County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (531,910), followed by Miami-Dade County (400,002), and Duval County (292,337). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Gilchrist County (801), Lafayette County (1,045), and Holmes County (1,237).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Gadsden County had the highest percentage, with 53.47% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Madison County (35.12%), and Hamilton County (31.97%).
