Georgia Black or African American Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 3,320,513 people in Georgia who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 31.00% of the total population of Georgia. Fulton County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (453,834), followed by DeKalb County (388,963), and Gwinnett County (262,709). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Fannin County (85), Rabun County (114), and Towns County (128).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Dougherty County had the highest percentage, with 69.92% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Clayton County (69.89%), and Hancock County (69.01%).
