Idaho Black or African American Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 15,726 people in Idaho who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 0.86% of the total population of Idaho. Ada County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (8,058), followed by Canyon County (1,629), and Twin Falls County (1,057). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Caribou County (1), Camas County (2), and Butte County (2).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Elmore County had the highest percentage, with 2.64% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Ada County (1.63%), and Madison County (1.39%).
