According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 289,961 people in Oklahoma who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 7.32% of the total population of Oklahoma. Oklahoma County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (120,320), followed by Tulsa County (67,414), and Comanche County (19,802). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Cimarron County (1), Harper County (4), and Beaver County (4).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Comanche County had the highest percentage, with 16.35% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Oklahoma County (15.11%), and Osage County (10.57%).
