Utah Black or African American Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 40,058 people in Utah who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 1.22% of the total population of Utah. Salt Lake County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (23,474), followed by Utah County (4,403), and Davis County (4,376). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Piute County (0), Wayne County (1), and Emery County (4).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Salt Lake County had the highest percentage, with 1.98% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Weber County (1.38%), and Davis County (1.21%).
