According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 15,057 people in South Dakota who identified their race as Some Other Race Alone, which is 1.70% of the total population of South Dakota. Minnehaha County had the highest number of people who identify as Some Other Race Alone (5,630), followed by Pennington County (1,372), and Beadle County (1,342). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Some Other Race Alone were: Buffalo County (0), Ziebach County (2), and Jones County (2).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Beadle County had the highest percentage, with 7.01% of its population identifying their race as Some Other Race Alone, followed by Aurora County (5.06%), and Grant County (3.52%).
