According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 7,868,227 people in Illinois who identified their race as White Alone, which is 61.41% of the total population of Illinois. Cook County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (2,345,983), followed by DuPage County (616,830), and Will County (443,562). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Pulaski County (3,261), Alexander County (3,311), and Hardin County (3,414).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Jasper County had the highest percentage, with 96.57% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Edwards County (96.38%), and Scott County (96.28%).
