According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 2,694,521 people in Iowa who identified their race as White Alone, which is 84.46% of the total population of Iowa. Polk County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (373,903), followed by Linn County (190,644), and Scott County (138,752). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Adams County (3,531), Ringgold County (4,469), and Taylor County (5,412).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Davis County had the highest percentage, with 96.56% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Butler County (96.46%), and Audubon County (96.39%).
