Montana White Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 916,524 people in Montana who identified their race as White Alone, which is 84.53% of the total population of Montana. Yellowstone County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (139,965), followed by Gallatin County (105,886), and Missoula County (101,540). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Petroleum County (466), Treasure County (698), and Golden Valley County (724).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Garfield County had the highest percentage, with 95.99% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Carter County (95.19%), and Liberty County (94.74%).
