According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 1,078,937 people in New Mexico who identified their race as White Alone, which is 50.95% of the total population of New Mexico. Bernalillo County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (353,144), followed by Doña Ana County (104,209), and Santa Fe County (88,915). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Harding County (428), De Baca County (1,298), and Mora County (2,020).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Catron County had the highest percentage, with 82.73% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by De Baca County (76.44%), and Sierra County (76.15%).
