According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 645,938 people in North Dakota who identified their race as White Alone, which is 82.91% of the total population of North Dakota. Cass County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (151,307), followed by Burleigh County (85,148), and Grand Forks County (60,056). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Sioux County (401), Slope County (680), and Billings County (911).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Billings County had the highest percentage, with 96.40% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Steele County (96.33%), and Slope County (96.32%).
