According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 3,243,442 people in South Carolina who identified their race as White Alone, which is 63.37% of the total population of South Carolina. Greenville County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (353,260), followed by Horry County (270,736), and Charleston County (268,699). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Allendale County (2,010), Bamberg County (5,046), and McCormick County (5,182).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Oconee County had the highest percentage, with 83.66% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Pickens County (82.72%), and Horry County (77.13%).
