According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 4,990,938 people in Tennessee who identified their race as White Alone, which is 72.22% of the total population of Tennessee. Davidson County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (400,622), followed by Knox County (379,510), and Shelby County (326,077). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Lake County (4,825), Pickett County (4,829), and Van Buren County (5,890).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Pickett County had the highest percentage, with 96.56% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Scott County (96.34%), and Hancock County (95.93%).
