West Virginia White Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 1,610,749 people in West Virginia who identified their race as White Alone, which is 89.80% of the total population of West Virginia. Kanawha County had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (153,637), followed by Berkeley County (98,281), and Monongalia County (90,012). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Wirt County (5,013), Pendleton County (5,845), and Calhoun County (6,003).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Webster County had the highest percentage, with 96.74% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Lincoln County (96.73%), and Ritchie County (96.58%).
