According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, Alaska had the highest percentage of a state's population who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (15.21%), followed by New Mexico (10.02%), and South Dakota (8.77%).
The chart below shows the top 10, and the table below shows the ranking of all the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on the percentage of each state's population that identify their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone.
