According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Gaston County, NC population of 177,846 people, 70.75% of them (125,821 people) identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic - White Alone, 16.52% of them (29,379 people) identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, and 3.84% of them (6,826 people) identified their ethnicity as Hispanic - Some Other Race Alone.
