According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Shelby, TN population of 706,063 people, 49.93% of them (352,538 people) identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, 37.01% of them (261,300 people) identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic - White Alone, and 4.06% of them (28,683 people) identified their ethnicity as Hispanic - Some Other Race Alone.
