According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among the Hackensack City, NJ voting-age population of 37,982 people, 31.97% of them (12,141 people) identified their race as White Alone, 22.19% of them (8,428 people) identified their race as Some Other Race Alone, and 22.05% of them (8,374 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone.
