According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among DeSoto County, FL voting-age population of 27,008 people, 66.10% of them (17,851 people) identified their race as White Alone, 12.90% of them (3,485 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 10.52% of them (2,841 people) identified their race as Some Other Race Alone.
