According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Sumter County, SC voting-age population of 81,402 people, 47.11% of them (38,351 people) identified their race as White Alone, 45.28% of them (36,862 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 4.08% of them (3,322 people) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
