According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Shelby County, TX voting-age population of 18,071 people, 65.82% of them (11,895 people) identified their race as White Alone, 15.82% of them (2,858 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 8.98% of them (1,623 people) identified their race as Some Other Race Alone.
