South Dakota White Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the South Dakota voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 561,954 people who identified their race as White Alone, which is 83.97% of the total voting-age population of South Dakota.

Minnehaha County had the highest number of White Alone voting-age population (123,941), followed by Pennington County (68,799), and Lincoln County (43,150).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of White Alone voting-age population were: Buffalo County (211), Ziebach County (361), and Oglala Lakota County (408).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Hanson County had the highest percentage, with 96.73% of its voting-age population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Hand County (96.67%), and Kingsbury County (96.43%).
