According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the death rate for Alaska was 7.26. Hoonah-Angoon Borough had the highest death rate (14.08), followed by Prince of Wales-Hyder Borough (13.44), and Yukon-Koyukuk Borough (11.15). On the other hand, Yakutat City and Borough had the lowest death rate (1.44), followed by Aleutians East Borough (3.21), and Aleutians West Borough (3.48).
