According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2015, the death rate for California was 6.55. Siskiyou County had the highest death rate (13.48), followed by Modoc County (13.45), and Lake County (13.15). On the other hand, Mono County had the lowest death rate (3.26), followed by San Benito County (5.08), and Santa Clara County (5.2).
