According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2020, the death rate for California was 7.74. Trinity County had the highest death rate (14.66), followed by Lake County (14.22), and Siskiyou County (13.97). On the other hand, Mono County had the lowest death rate (2.9), followed by San Benito County (6.04), and Imperial County (6.21).
