According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the number of deaths for North Carolina was 115,533. Mecklenburg had the highest number of deaths (7,916), followed by Wake (7,016), and Guilford (5,606). On the other hand, Tyrrell had the lowest number of deaths (49), followed by Hyde (58), and Camden (108).
