Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 42,558 people that identified as Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 0.43% of the total population of North Carolina in 2014. Wake County had the highest number of Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (5,205), followed by Mecklenburg County (4,715), and Forsyth County (2,089). On the other hand, Clay County had the lowest number of Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (3), followed by Gates County (7), and Perquimans County (8).
