Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 115,641 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.11% of the total population of North Carolina in 2018. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (52,549), followed by Cumberland County (4,851), and Hoke County (4,409). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (11), followed by Hyde County (11), and Washington County (25).
